CLASS MEASURES PARTNERS WITH LAWRENCE PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Class Measures has collaborated with the Lawrence Public Schools to provide a Mentoring Training Program (MTP) for district teachers. Program participants will be former MINT (Massachusetts Initiative for New Teachers) participants, as well as other district teachers planning to mentor teachers during the 2009-2010 school year.

The MTP is designed for mentors to develop or broaden their coaching skills. MTP prepares mentors to assist and guide new teachers in their personal and professional growth through a process of mutual trust and respect. It includes a five day summer workshop, a follow-up day in September, and online mentoring and e-mentoring during the 2009-2010 school year.

The MTP is funded by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education using federal Transition to Teaching (TTT) grant funds. There is no cost to participating teachers.
