Class Measures Joins Multi-National Tribal Group

Class Measures, a specialist education consultancy focused on developing and auditing teaching standards and raising student achievement by improving instructional leadership and school organization, was recently acquired by Tribal, a leading provider of services to the public sector in the United Kingdom and over 40 countries worldwide. Massachusetts-based Class Measures has been working with Tribal since 2009 on joint bids and delivery of services and contracts across several US states.

The Tribal and Class Measures affiliation comes at a most exciting time for education reform in America, when federal support and resources are newly available for school turnaround, standards, evaluation, and innovation of all kinds. With the support of Class Measures, and Tribal’s expertise and experience in these areas, the new entity is well-positioned to partner with schools, districts, and states as a provider of services, advisory, and technology solutions for rapid and sustainable educational improvement.

Tribal has demonstrated extraordinary success in its existing work in the UK and internationally—including the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics, the Greater Manchester Challenge (school turnaround), its work with the UK’s Office for Standards in Education, and Inspirational Schools—which means that they, along with Class Measures, already have the tools, systems, experience and track record to deliver services to the United States, where the initial work will be in Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Chicago.

Class Measures continues to provide services and training in accountability and reviews, Performance Review Program for Initial Licensure (PRPIL), turnaround, and school improvement.
